PERGOLAS

A pergola is an architectural and structural element consisting of a corridor flanked by columns that support longitudinal beams attached to each side, and other transverse beams that join both sides and hold an open lattice, where climbing plants usually grow.

The most common use is to protect passageways to gardens, but they can also be part of a building as protection for pedestrian areas or be standalone structures to provide shade and shelter along a path.

When pergolas are made of wood, they are preferably constructed with tropical woods such as Abarco, Teak, or Sapán, which have natural resistance to external agents. The finish is done with a teak oil treatment, and the finishing color is the natural color of the wood partially darkened by the oils, preferably with varnish finished with UV protection and closed pore.

Woods

The woods used for pergolas are selected with high quality standards, creating various atmospheres in outdoor spaces, both residential and commercial.
